Here we are ! Since Wednesday, June 9th, we can finally eat in restaurants, go to the cinema and go to concerts. And come home at 11 p.m. By June 30th, new measures have come into force that give us a little more freedom.
However, if we no longer have any restrictions by the end of the month, we will not shorten the health pass. Cédric O, State Secretary for Digital, has detailed the conditions and they will be mandatory in certain cases. This health pass should make it possible to reopen certain public spaces that have been closed for months. We explain everything to you.
What is the health pass?
A health pass does not necessarily mean a vaccination. It is possible to keep this health pass through the TousAntiCovid application. To do this, you have to prove either a negative RT-PCR test or a negative antigen test, a recovery or vaccination certificate. Each document is in the form of a QR code, which must be shown at the required places.
The health pass will be required for access to certain events with more than 1,000 people. But also to travel to certain countries or even French regions. In Corsica and overseas, the health passport is compulsory to enter the territories. At the moment, this health passport appears to be in effect until at least September 30th.
Where will the health passport be compulsory?
Cinemas, restaurants, workplaces or shopping centers are not affected by the health pass. On the other hand, organized cultural, sporting or festive places in public space can lead to the application for the health passport. Courtrooms, conferences, public meetings, but also marquees, trade fairs or exhibitions are affected if they accommodate more than 1,000 people.
For example, summer festivals are affected by the health passport, published by government decision on June 7th. For example, festivals or events such as Les Vieilles Charrues (from July 8th to 18th), in Finistère, L’Euro de Basket (from June 17th to 23rd), in Haut-Rhin, Les Francofolies de La Rochelle (from 10. until July 14th), in Charente-Maritime, the 24 hours of Le Mans (August 21st), in Sarthe are subject to the health passport. Other events also need this pass!
At major events, it is mandatory to have it on paper or on a smartphone. Cédric O recalls that it is impossible to enforce the digital format because a quarter of the French today do not have a smartphone. However, some organizers are already worried about possible fake certificates on paper.
Which controls for the passport?
The paper certificates issued by laboratories or vaccination centers all have a QR code. The owners then have to flash it to integrate it with the TousAntiCovid application. You can also get your certificate through the attestation-vaccin.ameli.fr website. When you identify yourself with France Connect, you have instant access to your downloadable certificate.

Your vaccination card will be shown as “Validated” upon receipt of the two doses. You therefore have to wait 14 days after the second dose until your certificate is valid! It might sound a little intrusive, but if it’s the only way we can get us back to normal lives, why not?
