Traditional Chinese medicine is an alternative medicine that has been used since the beginning of time. According to this medicine, the function of the human body is based on the balance between Yin and Yang. These two basic principles symbolize the shadow and the moon for the yin (female) and the light and the sun for the yang (male).
Chinese medicine believes that the energies that circulate in our body are linked to our internal clock. Each of the 12 main organs would be associated with an hour of the night, the time we sleep. The times of your night awakening would therefore correspond to a specific organ that needs to be preserved or even treated.
Why do we wake up at the same time?
On a night without a forced awakening, it is common for us to be awake in the same time slots. According to Chinese medicine, our organs send us a message depending on when we open an eye. While we should normally sleep a full night!
It would then be advisable to listen to his body and perhaps correct the problem with the organ in question. Each organ is represented by a 2-hour time window, and since there are 12 organs, that’s many 24-hour days! The organs of the night are immutable and Chinese medicine sees a cause-and-effect relationship between the organ and the nocturnal awakening.

Between 11 p.m. and 1 p.m.
This time window would correspond to the gallbladder … your meal was too heavy or you are under stress. If the night awakening repeats itself during this time window, you may need to change your diet or try Dodow to reduce stress!
Between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.
For those two hours in the middle of the night, the liver would sound the alarm … It would need to be cleaned. A lack of hydration could be the cause of this awakening at these very times … Drink water!
Between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Difficulty breathing could be the cause of these nocturnal awakenings between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. This time window corresponds to the lungs. If you smoke it may be time to quit or cut back. Or see a doctor if waking up becomes increasingly common during these times.
Between 5 and 7 a.m.
You live with your colon at these times! There is a problem with your diet … Too much fat or sugar, or too little nutrients … Reorienting the food would be a good idea.
Traditional Chinese medicine is not a substitute for medical diagnosis and cannot cure disease in any way. However, it does allow us to better understand our bodies and possibly be able to solve small temporary problems related to our biological clock!
