Covid-19: 449 dead on Monday in France, resuscitation and hospital stays increase

Public Health France key figures released this Monday evening show 449 new deaths and an increase in hospitalizations and resuscitation.

The Covid-19 is the cause of 449 new deaths this Monday April 19th, bringing the total number of victims since the epidemic started in France to 101,209.

Currently, 31,214 people are hospitalized in hospitals and clinics in France against 30,789 patients on Sunday. 2,066 new patients were hospitalized in the past 24 hours.

The intensive care units are currently treating 5,970 people against 5,893 patients on Sunday. 502 people have been admitted to an intensive care unit in France for 24 hours.

6,696 new positive cases have been registered in the past twenty-four hours, lower and lower every Monday. The test positivity rate is 9.8% for all of France.

4.7 million French people vaccinated

This Monday, April 19, 135,000 people in France received their second dose of vaccine and 194,835 people received their first dose. A total of 4,675,008 French women and men are fully vaccinated and 12,751,098 people have received a first dose.
