The essentials During the night from Sunday to Monday, around 5 a.m., a violent fire broke out in the old town of Lavelanet, Rue Saint-Jean, which mobilized around thirty firefighters. The fire broke out in an unoccupied house and threatened the two adjacent houses. The disaster was brought under control early in the morning on Monday.
