The study in detail

2711 participants were interviewed about physical symptoms, chronic illnesses and activities for 8 consecutive nights. They also filled in the stressors they had encountered in the past 24 hours. Participants who did not experience stress (10%) were less likely to have chronic health concerns.

They would also be in a better mood than the others. But the same participants who say they are not stressed score far fewer points on the cognitive test than those who admit even minimal stress.
