The Mountain, a small mini house for only 30,000 euros with a glass roof to gaze at the stars!

Like the tiny houses we’d love to show you, that of Cody Makarevitz, a tiny house builder in Pennsylvania! Instead of building a small house from scratch, he preferred to recycle an old mobile hunting lodge of 14 m² to build a cozy nest.

His tiny house is called The Mountain, and it’s no accident … He wanted it tiny, but arranged so that we can admire the mountain whenever we want … A small setting where comfort rhymes with nature !

13.95 m² living space over 4.12 m high! The originality of this tiny house comes from its all-glass ceiling. Cody Makarevitz has two passions: showering outside and admiring the stars! For the designer, the boom in the tiny house market means that he is losing his original concept. They are getting too big and too expensive.

With The Mountain he wanted to bring the micro-house “into place” … and to keep it tiny but comfortable! The bedroom therefore has a huge glass ceiling that allows you to admire the stars outside in any weather … and the same goes for the bathroom … the glass ceiling allows you to take a hot shower while admiring the sea . Mountain outside!

And it’s a real little house!

In order to reach the end of its concept without changing the tiny house, The Mountain is placed on a small trailer measuring 4 mx 2.50 m. Inside, materials such as salvaged barn wood such as beams, oak and cedar wood panels. To enlarge the space, the ceiling is fitted with mirrors and offers enough comfort for two people. Sleeping on the mezzanine, wooden bench and table for lunch.

And on the toilet side, they compost toilets with a 174 liter rainwater tank. Right now, The Mountain doesn’t have solar panels, but Cody says it can be. The Mountain sold for $ 35,000 and is currently working on a slightly larger model but still in the spirit of the tiny house!
