The Basics A car with seven people was the victim of an exit from the road between Carrefour de la Croisade and the north entrance of the Puymorens tunnel at around 8 a.m. this morning on the RN320. Two of the occupants of the vehicle were seriously injured and transported by helicopter to Chiva (Ariège) and Rangueil (Toulouse). Significant rescue resources were deployed at the scene of the accident.

Major resources were deployed from Ariège and Cerdagne: firefighters from Ax-les-Thermes, Catalan firefighters, two officers, a firefighter from Ax-les-Thermes, the Smur du Chival and de Cerdagne, a firefighter from the Pyrenees-Orientaes.
Two seriously injured
Two of the three occupants of the vehicle were seriously injured in this accident. They were looked after by the Chouca 09 helicopter of the Gendarmerie Air Department and by the Samu 31 helicopter accompanied by emergency doctors. The helicopters landed in the parking lot near the north tunnel entrance to take care of the two victims: a woman in her forties who was taken to the Val d’Ariège hospital center and a man of sixty who was being taken to the hospital became University Hospital of Rangueil, near Toulouse. The other occupants of the vehicle were examined and treated on site.
The car was descending between the crossroads of the crusade and the north entrance of the Puymorens tunnel towards Hospitalet-près-l’Andorre when the accident occurred.
According to Dirso (Direction desroute du Sud-Ouest), the RN320 is passable in both directions at this time.
