The alleged shooter is accused of killing ten people on Monday afternoon in or around the King Soopers store in Boulder, a town of around 110,000, 50 km northwest of Denver, the capital of Colorado.
Live footage showed a man dressed only in athletic shorts and being taken out of the store by the police. His hands were cuffed behind his back and his leg appeared to be injured with blood stains.

According to US media reports, the man was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle, a weapon that is often used in murders. The massacre came less than a week after a 21-year-old gunman shot eight people in Asian massage parlors in Atlanta, Georgia.
