We tested the Chacon IPCAM-BE02 camera

In the fight against break-ins, surveillance cameras are becoming an essential element in protecting our interiors. While a full alarm system may be out of budget for many of us, small WiFi cameras do the perfect job without blowing up your bank account.

We had the opportunity to test the Chacon IPCAM-BE02 camera to monitor the entrance to our house. Whether inside or outside, it doesn’t matter, this model adapts to all situations. Easy to install, wireless, but on battery power, now even compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa … Presentation.

Our test of the IPCAM – BE02

A sober but ultra-modern design that we installed on our veranda to monitor our entrance. So it’s inside, but in an unheated room! We installed it in seconds via the MyChacon app. All you have to do is connect the application to your home Wi-Fi network and then pair the camera with the application.

Nothing complicated! It is placed on a magnet so there is no need to pull a cable to connect it. It is enough to remove it for a few hours to recharge it, but its 10 months of standby autonomy gives us time to see it coming! The autonomy is reduced to 4 months based on 10 detections per day.

Conclusion

The picture feedback is perfect, we can see the faces clearly and it is possible to communicate with the person in front of the camera. For our part, it has a double function, namely surveillance camera and video telephone. We just need to speak to the delivery person who shows up to drop off a package on the camera. It’s just super handy when you’re absent or unavailable!

It is also possible to record videos with an added SD card. It’s very versatile and very easy to use and connect. A small, discreet and designed camera that adapts to all types of pilots and all environments!
